What is the Program of Dialectological Research?

 

The program aims at collecting primary dialectological and folklore material through live interviews by informants from the Greek speaking areas of Southern Albania.

The research will be carried out in the framework and in compatibility with the programs of the University of Tirana. A research team consisting of teachers and students of the Sector of Greek Language is established for this reason.

The research team is being trained for the fieldwork research by the director of the program, Αssociate Professor Αristotle Spiro. The registration of the dialectological and folklore material will be made digitally. The registered material will be further elaborated and hereafter it will be archived in the Dialectological Archive of the Sector of Greek Language. Scientific events will be organized, where the results of the expeditions will be announced.
